Job summary

The Frank J. Thornton Family YMCA in Richmond, VA is seeking a part-time Pool Manager to ensure the safety of our members at our pools. The pay range for this role is $17-$19 per hour.

Duty includes assisting with planning, coordinating, developing, administering, and evaluating aquatic activities, including pre-season openings and post-season closings. Qualifications require at least 1 year lifeguard experience and current lifeguard certification (YMCA/ARC/Ellis) with CPR, AED, First Aid, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year lifeguard experience and meet YMCA Lifeguard Standards.
• Current lifeguard certification (YMCA, ARC, or Ellis) with CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration (O2).
• If not YMCA certified, must obtain O2 within 30 days of hire.
• Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to work some weekends.

• Includes pre-season opening and post-season closing responsibilities.
• Ensure safety by following lifeguard standards and YMCA guidelines.

DUTIES of a Pool Manager

Assist with the planning, coordinating, developing, administering, and evaluation of aquatic activities as they relate to aquatic centers to include, but not limited to, any pre-season opening responsibilities and any post-season closing responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS of a Pool Manager

Must have at least one year of lifeguarding experience and meet all YMCA of Greater Richmond Lifeguard Standards. Must hold current YMCA, American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification; to include CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration (O2) if YMCA certified. If not YMCA certified, the employee must obtain O2 within 30 days of the hiring date. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. The candidate will be required to work some weekends.
