Job summary

Mauna Kea Resort is seeking a Band 1U Hau Tree Pool Host to ensure clean, safe pool and lawn areas. Responsibilities include greeting guests, setting up lounges and towels, handling POS and cash, and supporting beach and cultural activities.

The role emphasizes safety, guest interaction, and adherence to hotel standards. The position requires flexibility for shifts, outdoor work, and potential overtime during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in the sun and heat.
• Ability to greet and assist guests warmly.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow hotel procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the pool area daily for safety hazards and equipment faults; report and initiate work orders.
• Set-up pool chaise lounges and umbrellas daily.
• Greet guests at pool desk and assist per hotel standards.
• Issue towels, towels, lawn games and amenities per hotel standards.
• Maintain towels and supplies; ensure cleanliness of pool area.
• Assist with beach duties and cultural activities as directed.
