Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a Pool Attendant to welcome guests at the pool area and ensure a high standard of guest service in a luxury oceanfront setting.

You will greet guests, provide towels, escort to chairs, share pool menu details, and quickly relay food and beverage requests to the pool team while maintaining pool area cleanliness and safety standards.

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests arriving at the pool.
• Provides towels to guests, escorts them to chairs, and sets up towels on chairs.
• Provides information about pool food and beverage service and offers menus.
• Promptsly communicates food and beverage service requests to pool Food and Beverage Servers.
• Cleans, maintains, and positions pool furniture.
• Monitors inventory of pool towels and coordinates with laundry.
• Attends department meetings and trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Specific

• Adheres to all pool safety standards, including safety procedures for adverse weather conditions
• Knows the location and contents of First Aid Kit
• Greets guests arriving at the pool
• Provides towels to guests, escorts them to chairs, and sets up towels on chairs
• Provides information about pool food and beverage service and offers menus
• Promptly communicates food and beverage service requests to pool Food and Beverage Servers
• Provides chilled towels and water spray bottles/ spritzing per Loews Hotels standards
• Knowledgeable and able to communicate all hotel Recreation offerings
• Loans recreational items and equipment
• Sets up, refreshes, and tears down cabanas
• Assists in set‑up and tear down for poolside functions
• Cleans, maintains, and positions pool furniture
• Picks up trash and dirty towels and repositions chairs throughout shift
• Applies excellent guest relations skills when interacting with guests
• Performs all duties in a timely and professional manner
• Turns in lost and found items throughout shift according to hotel procedures
• Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory of pool towels throughout shift, obtaining clean towels from the laundry and returning dirty towels
• Attends all department meetings as scheduled
• Other duties as assigned
