Qualifications

  • Certification as Polysomnographic Tech or Registered Sleep Technologist required by hire date.
  • 2 years cumulative experience or specific degree required.

**Responsibilities**

Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.

+ Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing. Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.

+ Perform and document testing. Monitor patient throughout testing and intervenes as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.

+ Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpres and report results of sleep studies.

+ Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment required for testing. Determine and report needed repairs/replacements.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.

+ One or more of the following required:

+ Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists(BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Board of Registered PolysomnograhicTechnologists (BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Registered Sleep Technologist from the American Board of Sleep Medicine obtained prior to hire dateor job transfer date.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
