• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

+ Department: Sleep Diagnostic Lab

+ Schedule: Part-time 0.6 FTE nights | two 12-hour shifts per week 7PM - 7AM | no holidays

+ Hospital: Ascension St. Elizabeth

+ Location: Appleton, WI

Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.

Responsibilities

1. Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.
2. Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing. Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.
3. Perform and document testing. Monitor patient throughout testing and intervenes as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
4. Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret and report results of sleep studies.
5. Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment required for testing. Determine and report needed repairs/replacements.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

1. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
2. One or more of the following required:
1. Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
2. Reg Polysomnographic Technologist credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
3. Registered Sleep Technologist from the American Board of Sleep Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

1. High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
