Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. in Miami Beach seeks a Polysomnographic Technologist to support overnight data collection.

You will prepare the lab and patient areas, explain procedures clearly, and maintain a comfortable, controlled environment throughout the study. The ideal candidate has an RPSGT or REEG T certificate, BLS, a high school diploma or GED, and about two years of polysomnography experience.

Qualifications

• RPSGT or REEG T certification required; BLS certification required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in polysomnography or related lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the laboratory and bedrooms for overnight data collection.
• Explains procedures clearly to patients and establishes rapport.
• Maintains a comfortable, controlled laboratory environment during testing.
• Troubleshoots equipment and reports major malfunctions immediately.
• Participates in in-service training and supports staff education.
• Ensures safety and proper documentation of drugs and oxygen use.
