Job summary

Pulmonary Sleep and Critical Care, a busy sleep center with a 4-bed facility in Port Charlotte, FL, is seeking a Part-time Sleep Technologist for nights (7:30 PM–7:30 AM). The role requires 1 year of polysomnography experience or completion of a sleep program, CPR/BLS certification, and RPSGT/RRT/CPSGT credentials are required or preferred.

Responsibilities include performing polysomnography, CPAP/BiPAP and titrations, electrode reapplication, and patient safety interventions while ensuring

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year polysomnography experience or completion of a sleep program.
• RPSGT/RRT/CPSGT certification required.
• Associate’s degree or higher in healthcare science related field.
• Experience with Compumedics PSG5 is preferred.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate polysomnography studies and related titrations.
• Reapply electrodes as needed and troubleshoot equipment.
• Implement patient safety interventions and PAP therapy adjustments.
• Assess patient status and adapt procedures accordingly.
• Explain procedures and educate patients about sleep disorders.
• Document observations to support scoring and interpretation.
• Ensure safety and infection control compliance.
