Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital seeks a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to join its sleep laboratory team in West Palm Beach. The role focuses on comprehensive polysomnographic testing, data collection, and patient care during nights from 7:00pm to 7:30am.

The successful candidate will supervise Technicians/Trainees, review clinical information, and ensure accurate documentation and protocol adherence to support accurate sleep studies and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• RPSGT certification or RST certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Three years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnographic testing, scoring analysis and associated interventions.
• Provide supervision of Polysomnographic Technicians and Trainees.
• Review history/physical information, medications, test requests and study protocol.
• Complete and verify all documentation (pre- and post-sleep questionnaires, technician notes, etc.).
• Explain the procedure and orient the patient to the sleep center.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments if necessary.
• Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
• Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments if necessary.
• Perform routine PAP mask fitting.
• Follow procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data.
• Follow Lights Out/On procedures to establish baseline values and verify data integrity.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide age-specific care across pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Assist with scoring sleep/wake stages and clinical events.
