Job description

We Are Hiring

• Department: Sleep Lab
• Schedule: Part-time, Night shift, 8pm-6:30am
• Facility: Ascension Alexian Brothers
• Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
• Salary: $28.40 - $39.30 per hour

What You Will Do

Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.

• Prepare patient and equipment for testing.
• Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
• Perform and document testing.
• Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
• Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret, and report sleep study results.
• Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain testing equipment.
• Determine and report needed repairs or replacements.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

One or more of the following:

• Cert Polysomnographic Tech credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer.
• Reg Polysomnographic Technologist credential from BRPT obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an associate's/technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience.
