Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department:Sleep Lab
  • Schedule:Part Time, 12 hours per week, 7pm-7am; no weekends
  • Hospital:Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo
  • Location:Kokomo, IN
What You Will Do

Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.

  • Prepare patient and equipment for testing. Interview patient to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
  • Perform and document testing. Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score and report sleep study results.
  • Maintain, calibrate, repair, and troubleshoot testing equipment.
  • Identify and report necessary repairs or replacements.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted).
  • One of the following obtained within 24 months of hire or transfer:
    • Cert Polysomnographic Tech credential from BRPT
    • Respiratory Therapist credential from NBRC
    • Reg Polysomnographic Technologist credential from BRPT
    • Sleep Technician credential from ABSM

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of relevant experience.
