Job summary

Indiana University Health's Arnett Hospital Sleep Lab is seeking a dedicated Sleep Technologist for a full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am, Sun–Tue) with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include performing basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies, preparing patient equipment, interviewing patients, monitoring studies, scoring and generating reports, and maintaining lab equipment. Certification steps and BLS compliance are required within 2 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in sleep testing or related field.
• Must obtain RPSGT or SDS certification within 2 years of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA) or obtain within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies and supervise staff when needed.
• Prepare patient equipment, interview patients, and explain procedures.
• Monitor testing, resolve equipment issues, score sleep studies, and generate reports.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment and report needed repairs or replacements.
• Maintain RPSGT credentials; certifications via ABSM honored until BPRT credentials obtained.

About This Position:

• Full Time, Night Shift, 3-12s, 7pm-7:30am Sunday-Tuesday.

• Location: Arnett Hospital Sleep Lab

This position performs basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies and may provide supervision of other staff. They prepare patient equipment for testing, interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain pre and post testing procedures. They perform and document testing per lab protocols. They will monitor patient throughout testing and intervenes as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues. They will assist with scoring sleep studies and generating reports. The role prepares, calibrates, repairs and maintains equipment required for testing. They determine and report needed repairs/replacements. They will maintain credentials as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BPRT). Certifications obtained through the American Board of Sleep Medicine will be honored through their certification date or until credentials through the BPRT are obtained.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate's Degree is preferred.
• Experience in BiPAP/ASV Titration preferred.
• Requires 1-3 years of experience.
• Must obtain certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or certification as a Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) within 2 years of date of hire.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or will need to acquire it. Must be able to pass boards within 2 years.
