Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a part-time Polysomnographic Technician for the night shift. The incumbent will perform polysomnography, evaluate sleep disorders, and score studies under the Clinical Director's supervision.

Qualifications include BRPT registration or Indiana RT license, high school graduation, and preferred associate/bachelor degree in polysomnography. Pediatric-focused experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Graduate. Graduate of an accredited school of polysomnography preferred. Associate/Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Licensure: BRPT or Indiana RT license; BCLS certification.
  • Experience: Completion of polysomnography program or equivalent with pediatric to geriatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive evaluations and treatment of sleep disorders under supervision, including polysomnography and scoring of sleep studies.
  • Can assist with supervision of other staff and perform duties defined for Polysomnographic Technician.

Job Summary
  • Provides comprehensive evaluations and treatment of sleep disorders, under the general supervision of the Clinical Director (MD) or other designee, including polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. Can perform all duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician along with scoring of sleep studies and can assist with supervision of other staff.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
  • Education: High School Graduate. Graduate of an accredited school of polysomnography preferred. Associate/Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or a current Indiana state license in respiratory therapy (RT). Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Experience: Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one (1) year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility OR equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician. Confidently performed polysomnography on pediatrics (ages 4 years and up), adolescents, adults and geriatrics preferred.
