Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Sleep Lab Technologist for the Arnett Hospital Sleep Lab. The role involves conducting sleep studies, preparing equipment, interviewing patients, and reporting results, with a focus on patient comfort and accuracy.

The position offers a Sunday-Tuesday night shift (7pm-7:30am), a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, and a night shift differential. Associates degree and RPSGT/SDS certification timeline are noted in requirements.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years sleep tech experience.

  • Experience with BiPAP/ASV titration preferred.

About This Position:


  • Full Time, Night Shift, 3-12s, 7pm-7:30am Sunday-Tuesday.

  • Sign on Bonus of $15,000 available to Eligible Candidates

  • Night Shift Pay Differential included

  • Location: Arnett Hospital Sleep Lab


This position performs basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies and may provide supervision of other staff. They prepare patient equipment for testing, interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain pre and post testing procedures. They perform and document testing per lab protocols. They will monitor patient throughout testing and intervenes as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues. They will assist with scoring sleep studies and generating reports. The role prepares, calibrates, repairs and maintains equipment required for testing. They determine and report needed repairs/replacements. They will maintain credentials as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BPRT). Certifications obtained through the American Board of Sleep Medicine will be honored through their certification date or until credentials through the BPRT are obtained.


Requirements:


  • High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate's Degree is preferred.

  • Experience in BiPAP/ASV Titration preferred.

  • Requires 1-3 years of experience.

  • Must obtain certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or certification as a Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) within 2 years of date of hire.

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or will need to acquire it. Must be able to pass boards within 2 years.
