Job summary

Woodlawn Health seeks a qualified Registered Polysomnographic Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) for the night shift. The role involves performing comprehensive sleep studies, scoring and interfacing with sleep software, and ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders.

The ideal candidate has PSG/EEG training, Indiana licensure, and BLS certification, with 2+ years in sleep/EEG studies.

Qualifications

  • Education and training typically found and obtained in PSG, EEG, and/or respiratory therapy programs preferred.
  • Two years of experience in inpatient/outpatient sleep studies and EEG studies preferred.
  • Licensed/certified by the State of Indiana.
  • Must maintain BLS certification and be able to obtain BLS prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor electrophysiological activity in sleep and EEG modalities across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings.
  • Perform screening, patient hook-ups, equipment interfacing, troubleshooting, and scoring.
  • Work with patients from 3-year-old to geriatric age.
  • Process charges and necessary paperwork accurately and timely.

Join the Woodlawn Team as a RPSGTSleep Technologist, on Night Shift!

Woodlawn Health is seeking a qualified and motivated Registered Polysomnographic (RPSGT) Sleep Technologist to perform comprehensive sleep studies and contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans for patients suffering from sleep disorders.

SHIFT: Night Shift / Full-Time / No Holidays / 1 w/e per month

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education and training typically found and obtained in PSG, EEG, and/or respiratory therapy programs preferred.
  • Preferred- Two years of experience in performing inpatient/outpatient sleep studies and EEG studies.
  • Certified and/or Registered by the American Board of Electroencephalographic Technologies and/or Board of Polysomnographic Technologies and National Board for Respiratory Care. Registered Polysomnographic Technician
  • Appropriately licensed/certified by the State of Indiana.
  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize activities.
  • Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per hospital policy. Must obtain BLS prior to direct patient care.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as defined by hospital policy.
  • Basic computer and keyboard skills with the ability to use sleep software.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Responsible for electrophysiological monitoring and diagnostic testing in sleep and EEG modalities in the inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings. Some these tests include but are not limited to general diagnostic sleep studies, split-night sleep studies, evoked potential studies, and video monitoring.
  • Performs screening, patient hook-ups, equipment interfacing, troubleshooting, and scoring.
  • Performs testing on 3-year-old patients through geriatric age.
  • Processes charges and necessary paperwork on a timely and accurate basis.
