Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist for night shifts at the St. Clair Shores Healthcare Center.

The role involves comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and patient education. Qualifications include formal polysomnography training or enrollment in an accredited program (CAAHEP/CoARC), A-Step coursework within two years for non-registered staff, ongoing CE credits, and a current BLS

Job description

Corewell Health is offering a $3,000 sign‑on bonus to external hires and internal new grads currently in a student role.

FULL TIME -NIGHTS-Site at Healthcare Center St. Clair Shores HOURS: 6PM TO 6AM.

Scope Of Work A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and designee (department director/manager/supervisor) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide supervision of other staff.

Qualifications. Required Formal training in polysomnography program and/or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option OR enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP online Self Study Modules. Required non‑registered technologists and technicians must complete A-Step online Self Study Modules within two years of enrollment. Required All technical staff must participate in at minimum 10 hours per year (averaged over three years) of sleep‑related continuing education credits.

Current American Heart Association BLS Provider certification.

  • 1-3 years Preferred CRT-Polysomnographic Technologist - BRPT Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists RPSGT or CPSGT Upon required
  • Or CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
  • Or CRT-REGISTERED_SLEEP_TECHNOLOGIST-ABSM #N/A Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
  • Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
