Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist for the Site at Healthcare Center St. Clair Shores. The role involves polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic sleep services under medical direction, with supervision responsibilities as needed.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered to external hires and new grads in a student role. The position is full-time, nights (6 PM–6 AM), located at St. Clair Shores.

Qualifications

• Formal polysomnography training or enrollment in an accredited program.
• Completion of A-Step modules within two years of enrollment.
• Heart Association BLS Provider certification required.
• 1 year of relevant experience; 1–3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic sleep services.
• Provide patient care and education during procedures.
• May supervise other staff and provide guidance as needed.

FULL TIME -NIGHTS-Site at Healthcare Center St. Clair Shores

HOURS: 6PM TO 6AM.

Scope Of Work

A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and designee (department director/manager/supervisor) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide supervision of other staff.

Qualifications.

• Required Formal training in polysomnography program and/or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option OR enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP online Self Study Modules.
• Required non-registered technologists and technicians must complete A-Step online Self Study Modules within two years of enrollment.
• Required All technical staff must participate in at minimum 10 hours per year (averaged over three years) of sleep-related continuing education credits.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Provider certification.
• 1 year of relevant experience 1-3 years Preferred
• CRT-Polysomnographic Technologist - BRPT Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists RPSGT or CPSGT Upon required Or
• CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-REGISTERED_SLEEP_TECHNOLOGIST-ABSM #N/A Upon Hire required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
