Job summary

Freedman Consulting, LLC is seeking an Associate to assist with policy research, deliverable development, and operational support for its client engagements. The role sits within a growing team covering policy, philanthropy, and politics, with a focus on innovations and social impact.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong writing and research skills, and familiarity with using generative AI tools to enhance work products. Hybrid work in Washington, DC is available.

Qualifications

• Approximately 1–3 years of research, legislative, communications, consulting, or policy-related experience is preferred.
• Strong writing and research skills are required.
• Ability to thoughtfully incorporate generative AI tools into work.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct policy and landscape research, analyze data, and identify actionable insights for client strategies.
• Draft client-facing materials, including slide decks, research reports, strategic plans, and briefing memos.
• Support client engagement, including meetings, presentations, and client events.
• Provide administrative, operational, and logistical support on client teams, including scheduling and tracking timelines.
• Support cross-functional firm needs.
