Job summary

South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Company is seeking a Policy Analyst to analyze change requests and new business, ensure accuracy, and handle data entry and policy declarations for manual lines. The role involves communicating with insureds, agents, and departments, with a pathway to telework after one year.

The starting pay is $18.00 per hour. A high school diploma or GED and a minimum 25 wpm typing speed are required, along with basic MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to type a minimum of 25 wpm.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams office programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate by phone, email, and written correspondence with external customers who may include insureds, Agents, Administrative Assistants, mortgagees, lienholders and other departments.
• Analyze for accuracy and enter data for applications, changes, cancellations, non-renewals, renewals, audits and reinstatements.
• Respond to questions and inquiries from Agents, insureds, Claims Adjusters and lienholders.
• Analyze new business applications for completeness.
• Manually rate manual lines policies to derive the correct rate for each transaction.
• Input policy declarations and endorsements for manual lines policies.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
