Job summary

Holland America-Princess (Holland America Dawson City Inn) is seeking a Policy Specialist in Administration to monitor federal, state, tribal, and local policy developments affecting CITC services and to lead research, education, and writing for public comment letters and coalitions. You will work with program staff and external partners to ensure policy priorities are informed and coordinated.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory processes, including notice-and-comment rulemaking.

• Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Public Policy Tracking & Analysis: develop policy tracking systems and monitor legislation across multiple levels.
• Coalition Building: develop relationships with tribal, state, local, and national partners to advance policy priorities.
• Internal Support & Coordination: prepare talking points, summaries, and staff education materials; attend meetings and hearings.
• Draft comments, consultation notes, and background documents in coordination with leadership and program staff.
• Review external policy positions to inform organizational approach.
