Job summary

OBAN Corporation is seeking a senior policy professional to lead complex policy analyses and advisory work in support of federal government clients. The role requires obtaining and maintaining government security clearances and delivering data-driven recommendations to decision-makers.

We expect strong written and oral communication, experience in presenting to committees, and the ability to review AI-generated outputs for alignment with evidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 9 years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain government security clearances.
• Strong policy analysis and report presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex policy projects using analysis to identify options, impacts, and priorities.
• Review materials and prepare reports detailing efficacy, strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations.
• Assess impact of proposed legislation and prepare fiscal estimates.
• Present analyses and recommendations to committees.
• Review outputs of AI tools to ensure data aligns with evidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates complex projects which utilize management analysis and research techniques to identify: short, medium, and long-term policy options, impacts of policies to stakeholders & laws, and priorities.
• Coordinates the review of materials.
• Prepares reports detailing the efficacy of programs and policies, strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations.
• Assesses the impact of proposed legislation and prepared fiscal estimates.
• Presents analyses and recommendations to committees.
• Reviews outputs of AI tools to assess whether data have been appropriately synthesized and AI content logically aligns with evidence. High level of knowledge of program, policy, and funding issues.
• Strong public presentation skills.
• Provides editorial and content feedback.
• Evaluates policy principles to describe values driving decisions and directions.
• Reviews requests and answers questions regarding policies and procedures.

Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Science (MS) or Master of Arts (MA) degree and minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required government security clearances.
