Job summary

OBAN Corporation in the Washington, DC area is seeking a policy analyst to support complex government programs. Responsibilities include policy analysis, preparing reports, presenting to committees, and promoting data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in complex projects using policy analysis and research to identify options and impacts.

• Present analyses and recommendations to committees.
• Promote data-driven policy and communicate with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists in complex projects which utilize management analysis and research techniques to identify: short, medium, and long-term policy options, impacts of policies to stakeholders & laws, and priorities.
• Assists in the review of materials.
• Prepares reports detailing the efficacy of programs and policies, strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations.
• Assesses the impact of proposed legislation and prepared fiscal estimates.
• Present analyses and recommendations to committees.
• Promotes data-driven policy. High level of knowledge of program, policy, and funding issues.
• Strong public presentation skills.
• Provides editorial and content feedback.
• Evaluates policy principles to describe values driving decisions and directions.
• Reviews requests and answers questions regarding policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required government security clearances.
• Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience.
