Job summary

A regional business advocacy group is seeking a Policy Advocate to engage in legislative representation related to Labor, Employment, and Workers Compensation. The successful candidate will analyze legislative proposals, communicate CalChamber's viewpoints, and have solid experience in these areas. This full-time mid-senior level position requires a Juris Doctor degree, strong communication, and leadership skills. Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience with Labor, Employment, and Workers Compensation issues.
• Solid oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Proven leadership and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legislative proposals and assess impact on businesses.
• Meet with legislators to inform them of the CalChamber viewpoint.
• Write letters supporting or opposing legislation.
