Job summary

International Justice Mission (IJM) invites a Policy & Advocacy Intern to support the US Corporate & Government Partnerships team with research, policy projects, and advocacy efforts in the Washington, DC area. The role includes attending congressional hearings, helping plan campaigns, and managing inquiries.

The internship requires two years of undergraduate study, strong written communication, and experience with policy or government.

Qualifications

• Two years of undergraduate study completed by start of internship.
• Prior internship or leadership experience in organizations.
• Ability to commit to 20, 30, or 40 hours per week.
• Strong written communication and research skills.
• Experience with government, especially Congress, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support US Corporate & Government Partnerships team with research and policy projects.
• Assist IJM’s advocacy efforts and events planning.
• Attend congressional hearings and other DC-based events as needed.
• Manage IJM Advocacy inbox and respond to constituent queries.
• Provide general administrative support within the department.
