Job summary

International Justice Mission is seeking an Advocacy & Survivor Leadership Intern for the 2027 Spring Internship class in the Washington, DC area. The role supports global initiatives, helps build advocacy capacity, and produces survivor leadership content.

You will work 25–40 hours per week, with a hybrid on-site schedule (Tuesdays & Thursdays in DC). Compensation is a monthly volunteer stipend to offset expenses.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two years of undergraduate study by start of internship.
• At least one prior internship or significant leadership experience in campus, volunteer, or community organizations.
• Experience in project management or process implementation.
• Interest in survivor leadership and global advocacy initiatives.
• Awareness of cross-cultural contexts and communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
