Job summary

International Justice Mission (IJM) seeks Government Relations Interns & Fellows to build relationships with policy makers on behalf of IJM field offices. Responsibilities include drafting training content, developing community relations campaigns, and planning advocacy events across multiple offices globally.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree, strong organizational skills, and Spanish fluency for Latin America roles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; internship or leadership experience preferred.
  • 3+ years experience and/or Master's degree for Fellows; background in Government or Community Relations preferred.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Windows XP.
  • Fluency in Spanish required for Latin America offices.
  • Experience networking with international/national NGOs, CBOs, faith-based communities, and local government.

Responsibilities

  • Draft training content and logistical support for NGO trainings.
  • Assist in evaluation and upgrading NGO training content.
  • Develop content for Community Relations programs and campaigns.
  • Maintain Community Relations documentation and track monthly targets.
  • Help plan and implement Advocacy team events.
  • Provide administrative support to the community relations team.
  • Represent IJM at NGO and Government Network meetings when needed.
