Job summary

The City of Dunwoody Police Department is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to supervise the maintenance of all police vehicles and equipment. Reporting to the patrol Lieutenant, you will coordinate repairs, track vehicle status, and support vehicle readiness for daily operations.

This administrative role emphasizes vehicle emission inspections, inventory upkeep, and collaboration with City departments and vendors to keep fleets in optimum condition.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED and at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
• One to two years’ experience with automotive recordkeeping is preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid State of Georgia Driver’s License (Class C) and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the general maintenance and repair of all police department vehicles.
• Receives daily reports of vehicle problems and ensures vehicles are sent to the appropriate repair location.
• Maintains updated status of vehicles being repaired and ensures return to the police department.
• Keeps ongoing files on all vehicles related to status, assignments, repairs, equipment and mileage.
