Job summary

National Police is seeking a records clerk to process and audit a variety of police records, including stolen autos, missing persons, fraud and forgery, and protection orders. The role supports compliance with federal, state, and local laws and collects fees for reports and photos where applicable.

Candidates will be trained on Local, MULES, and NCIC terminal information and must pass a background check, drug test, polygraph, and examinations within required timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year related duties preferred.
• Typing test at 35 wpm will be required.
• Within six months, pass Missouri Sunshine Laws written exam, complete NIMS training, and be MULES certified.
• Position requires ability to maintain multiple computer systems at one time.
• Requires effective communication, both orally and in writing, and initiative within guidelines.
• Requires background check, drug test, polygraph, oral board interview, and psychological examination.

Responsibilities

• Process and audit records including stolen autos, missing persons, fraud, forgery and protection orders.
• Audit, entry, indexing, storage, retrieval and dissemination of police records in accordance with laws.
• Collect monies for the sale of police reports and photographic fees when applicable.
• Trained in Local, MULES and NCIC terminal information.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
