The City of Lodi Police Department offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, current students, or accepted applicants of a California Basic P.O.S.T. police academy seeking growth and challenge in law enforcement.
Eligibility: Recent graduates (within 2 years of application closing date) or current enrollees in a California Basic P.O.S.T. police academy. Proof of enrollment or graduation must be attached to your application; failure to submit this documentation will disqualify your application.

Under close supervision, learn law enforcement duties, responsibilities, and skills. This is an entry-level, non-sworn position. Successful completion of the police academy and the Field Training Program is required for appointment as a Police Officer. Failure to complete the academy will result in termination.
Must meet physical demands, including occasional lifting over 100 pounds, and work in various environments, including outside weather conditions and potentially hazardous situations.
