The City of Charlotte seeks a Police Investigation Technician for CMPD HQ to handle police calls, gather information, and prepare reports. You will enter data into the Records Management System and perform case background research while keeping sensitive information confidential.

The role requires availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during emergencies, with duties extending to directing citizens and advising on police procedures. Background checks apply.

Formación

• High School graduate and US citizen.
• DC I certification must be obtained/maintained.
• Experience with CAD/RMS systems and NCIC/DCI databases preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Answer police telephone inquiries and gather information from victims and witnesses.
• Enter reports into the Records Management System and prepare supplements.
• Conduct background research on cases and maintain confidentiality.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and during emergencies when required.
• Direct citizens to appropriate offices and provide police procedures guidance.
