Job summary

EXO Inc. is seeking a Wood Services Foreman / Crew Leader to manage field crews conducting detailed inspections of wooden utility poles. You will ensure safety, quality, and compliance while recording findings and directing repairs or replacements as needed.

The role requires travel up to 75% and leadership of a small crew, with hands-on use of hand tools and responsibility for field data collection and reporting. OSHA 10 and pesticide applicator licensing are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training or related experience preferred.
• Proven ability to plan and manage tasks in field crews.
• Proficient understanding of wood pole materials, decay, and safety standards.
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills essential.
• Experience with field data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a crew of at least one laborer; assign duties and supervise daily tasks.
• Conduct thorough inspections of wooden utility poles for safety and structural integrity.
• Ensure safety compliance and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
• Accurately document inspection results, capture photos, and report findings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate outcomes and support corrective actions.
• Contribute to process improvements for inspection procedures and tools.
