United Utility Services is seeking a Pole Inspection Supervisor to lead inspection and treatment crews, ensuring field readiness and client specifications across multiple locations.

You will oversee staffing, training, safety compliance, and QC processes while coordinating field logistics, documentation, and vendor interaction. This role requires hands-on field supervision and regional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of direct wood utility pole assessment and treatment experience.
• Current pesticide/commercial applicator license applicable to wood-pole treatment in the states of assignment, or ability to obtain before mobilization where permitted.
• Experience supervising pole inspection/treatment crews and applying utility-specific inspection standards and formal QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple pole inspection/treatment crews and directly manage assigned Crewmen, Inspectors, and Foremen.
• Coordinate work packages, staffing, schedules, production priorities, equipment, materials, treatment inventory, and field logistics across assigned areas.
• Conduct job-start meetings and verify personnel qualifications, training, licenses, equipment, materials, and required documentation before deployment.
• Serve as the primary field escalation point for assessment, sounding, boring, excavation, decay evaluation, treatment, restoration, tagging, access, and specification questions.
• Perform or coordinate formal QC inspections and reinspections; document findings, provide coaching, and ensure corrective actions, retraining, and rework are completed when required.
