Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Fitter Welder to assemble pole components using GMAW and SAW processes. The role requires reading blueprints, lifting parts up to 50 pounds, and working with overhead cranes in a manufacturing environment.

Starting pay is $28.72–$29.95 per hour with 4th and 3rd shift options. Benefits include healthcare, 401k, PTO and tuition reimbursement, with discretionary bonuses possible.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English with basic communication skills.
• 3–5 years of experience fitting in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to calculate simple mathematics and use common manufacturing mathematics.
• 3 years experience reading and using blueprints.
• Must pass FCAW, GMAW, and SAW weld tests and maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Weld with GMAW to assemble pole components and SAW for structural welds.
• Read drawings to determine parts and verify placement during assembly.
• Operate jib crane and lifting equipment to position parts safely.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and follow LEAN practices.
