Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Brenham, TX is seeking a welder/fitter to join the Small Pole Department. You will tack weld small components to pole shafts using FCAW and SAW welding processes under supervision, following drawings, codes, and procedures.

The role requires reading drawings, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working a 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 5 AM–1 PM) with potential overtime. Starting pay is $26.07 per hour with step increases at 90 days, 1 year, and 2 years.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Ability to use common manufacturing math.
• 1 year experience reading blueprints.
• 1 year experience in welding/manufacturing environment; FCAW may be required.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings to determine parts and assembly steps.
• Position shafts and assemble components with appropriate welding processes.
• Operate tools and equipment (grinders, drills, torches) safely and accurately.
• Maintain PPE and safety practices at all times.
