Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Fitter Welder 11 in the Large Pole Department.

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, you will assemble pole components using GMAW, FCAW, and SAW processes, welding to code and drawings, including ultrasonic testing where required. The starting pay is $28.72 to $29.95 per hour on 3rd shift (Mon-Thu 9PM-7AM) with potential step increases at 90 days, 1 year and 2 years and eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English.
• 3-5 years of experience in fitting in manufacturing or fabrication.
• 3 years reading and using blueprints.
• Experience in welding environments and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Welds components using GMAW and SAW per drawings and codes.
• Reads drawings and prepares parts for assembly on the pole unit.
• Operates overhead cranes and hand/power tools as needed.
• Maintains clean, safe, and LEAN work area.
• Ensures quality and safety through proper PPE and procedures.
