Job summary

Mystic Lake Casino Hotel is seeking a Manager, Poker Room to lead all poker operations, drive revenue, and ensure guest satisfaction. You will manage cash games, tournaments, promotions, and staff while upholding game integrity and regulatory compliance.

You will develop the team, monitor performance, and collaborate with Gaming Operations to optimize labor and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Gaming Management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in poker operations.
• 2+ years leading and developing exempt and non-exempt team members, including performance management and coaching.
• Knowledge of budgetary processes in a casino environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of poker rules, procedures, game protection, tournament structures and room operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with poker room management systems (e.g., Bravo, Genesis) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of budgeting, expense control, staffing and training practices.
• Experience interpreting gaming regulations, internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold team members accountable for performance and service standards.
• Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills; manage player disputes and operational issues.
• Experience with scheduling, payroll, and workforce management systems.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze operational data and make sound business decisions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Operations Management: Directs and oversees all Poker Room operations across cash games, tournaments, and high-stakes gaming.
• Guest Experience & VIP Relations: Fosters service culture; builds relationships with regular players, VIPs, and high-limit patrons.
• Game Integrity & Regulatory Compliance: Ensures game integrity, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and responsible gaming practices.
• Leadership & Team Development: Coaches and develops Poker Room team members; sets performance expectations and accountability.
• Financial Performance: Analyzes labor utilization, game profitability, and promotions; manages budget and expenses; partners with leadership.
• Occasional Tasks: Serves as Poker Room Shift Manager; executes departmental projects; conducts training.
