Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a Certified Medical Technologist - Point of Care Coordinator to join our mission-driven Laboratory team. You will develop and manage programs to bring testing closer to the patient, ensuring faster turnaround and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science required.
• ASCP, CLS or NCA certification required.
• 3–5 years of clinical laboratory experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, coordinate and maintain POC testing programs.
• Provide training for patient care providers on POC testing and validation.
• Evaluate new POC devices for accuracy and cost; coordinate vendor bids and contracts.
• Ensure QC/QA programs and compliance with regulations.
