Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. in Greenwich, CT invites you to join our Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) program as a Medical Technologist.

You will ensure safe operations, collaborate with nurses and physicians, and maintain QC procedures and LIS interfaces to support high-quality patient care. You will participate in QA initiatives, help update procedures, and assist with inspections by CAP, TJC, CT DPH and other agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years Medical Technology experience; POCT experience desirable.
• Proven ability to interface with cross-section of hospital staff; Physicians, Nurse Managers.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows Laboratory and Hospital safety policies.
• Interacts with nursing staff and physicians to maintain the POCT program.
• Troubleshoots QC failures with proper documentation.
• Supports QA initiatives and validations for POCT.
• Maintains LIS interfaces and testing/validation with the hospital LIS.
• Maintains POCT reagents inventory.
• Assists with inspections from CAP, TJC, CT DPH, RI DOH.
