Lifespan is seeking a Point of Care Coordinator to lead POCT programs at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. The role focuses on developing policies, ensuring instrument maintenance, and driving quality assurance across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field is required.
• MLS/MT certification is preferred.
• Experience in POCT or clinical laboratory management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement POCT policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Coordinate selection, validation, and procurement of POCT devices and supplies.
• Monitor inventory and ensure adequate stock of testing supplies.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot POCT instruments.
• Educate staff and provide ongoing competency assessments.
• Generate reports on POCT performance and quality improvement initiatives.
