Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological science or Laboratory Medical Technology and four years of related laboratory experience.
• Med Technologist - ASCP, upon hire or
• Clinical Laboratory Technologist, upon hire or
• Medical Laboratory Technician ASCP, upon hire or
• Medical Laboratory Technician AMT, upon hire or
• Medical Technologist AMT, upon hire

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with department, regulatory and safety standards related to POC activities in hospital or clinic setting.
• Coordinate with vendors for new lab equipment/instrumentation and staff training.
• Provide technical guidance to laboratory staff and coordinate/participate in complex technical tasks to troubleshoot issues and determine QC measures.
• Conduct competency assessments by task or procedure and document using a standard evaluation tool.
