Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown seeks a Lab Point of Care Coordinator to oversee point-of-care testing across the Core Laboratory and associated clinics. You will guide staff, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in MLS/related field required.
• MLS/MLT certification by ASCP or recognized body required.
• 4 years lab tech experience required.
• Additional bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates point-of-care testing across locations.
• Ensures timely reporting, read-back and documentation of critical tests.
• Implements point-of-care devices and processes.
• Maintains QA/QC reports and data analysis.
• Troubleshoots equipment and updates procedures.
• Collaborates with nursing, physicians and staff as needed.
