Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Lab Point of Care Coordinator for the Core Laboratory at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. You will coordinate point-of-care testing across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include device implementation, QA/QC reporting, data analysis, and equipment troubleshooting while collaborating with nursing and physicians to deliver timely results.

Qualifications

• Associates in Medical Laboratory Science or related field required.
• 4 years of lab technologist experience required.
• MLT/MLS certification by a recognized agency (ASCP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate point-of-care testing across multiple lab and clinic locations.
• Provide technical resources and daily direction on policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely reporting, read back, and documentation of critical tests and results.
• Implement Point of Care devices, instruments, and processes.
• Comply with monthly workload, QA and QC reports; analyze data promptly.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and take corrective action with equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
