Job summary
Emerald Coast Infectious Diseases / America Medical group seeks a friendly Medical Receptionist for our busy podiatry office in Fort Walton Beach. You will be the first point of contact, greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and support the clinical team to maintain efficient daily operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and detail oriented, with experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with EMR systems.
Qualifications
- Healthcare experience in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Patient Reception & Customer Service: Greet patients, answer calls, check in/out, maintain confidentiality.
- Scheduling & Registration: Schedule, reschedule, confirm appointments and coordinate follow-ups.
- Insurance & Administrative Support: Verify eligibility, obtain authorizations, collect payments.
- Medical Records & Documentation: Maintain EMR, ensure documents are complete.
- Team Collaboration: Support physicians, nurses, and billing staff.
