Upperline Health is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support physicians in a clinic setting. The role is based in Austell, GA and involves clinical tasks such as taking histories, vitals, and X-ray assistance, as well as administrative duties and care coordination.

Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic clinic exposure, experience with EMR systems (athenahealth), and strong communication skills to support coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Experience using athenahealth EMR systems preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsabilités

• Place patients in exam rooms and prep them for the physician.
• Complete intake and review of medical history and current issues.
• Record vitals and document in the EMR.
• Assist the podiatric/orthopedic physician and take X-rays as needed.
• Restock exam rooms and manage disposal of waste.
• Clean and sterilize exam and X-ray rooms daily.
• Coordinate care for Upperline Plus patients as needed.
• Coordinate referrals, appointments, and medical records requests.
• Travel to nearby clinics to provide support if required.
