Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the West Valley Podiatry Surgical team in Peoria, AZ. You will assist clinicians, manage patient flow, and handle vital signs and basic procedures in a day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel to Sun City West and Goodyear locations.

The role requires completion of an MA training program, active MA certification, and CPR/BLS. Strong computer skills and excellent communication are essential to delivering quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking or recording vital signs and measurements.
• Assist clinicians with exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Coordinate and manage patient care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate billing documentation.
• Maintain clean clinical environment and proper infection control procedures.
• Order supplies and manage medication-related tasks as directed.
• Support communication with external and internal customers to ensure excellent patient care.
