Job summary

Banner Health’s West Valley Podiatry Surgical team in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff, ensuring an excellent patient experience. This is a day shift, Monday–Friday, with travel to Sun City West 1 day per week and possible coverage at Goodyear Ortho.

You will take vital signs, assist with exams and minor procedures, coordinate referrals and scheduling, and complete medical records and billing documentation while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program
• Active Medical Assistant certification and BLS required
• Strong computer skills and ability to manage priorities

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exams by taking vitals and documenting Chief Complaint.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures and maintain patient safety.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling; communicate results to patients.
