JASPER Engines & Transmissions is seeking a Power Drive: Disassembly technician to perform disassembly and cleaning of power drive units. You will verify BOM tags, remove components, and prepare units for inspection in a climate-controlled facility.
The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing most of the day, and proficient use of hand tools. Overtime is available, with a starting rate of $20.00 per hour plus experience-based increases.
There are a variety of tasks this position completes, including operation of basic hand tools and the detailed cleaning of parts using solvents, brushes, and scrapers. The associate must verify the tag of the BOM matches the unit (core) provided. The associate will then start the disassembly process by removing bolts, seals, etc. from the outside of the unit, removing the oil pan to uncover internal parts, removing the valve body, pumps, wiring harness, clutch packs, etc. After removal, associates must clean parts with solvent, place parts in baskets, and send them through a washer.
