Job summary

JASPER Engines & Transmissions is seeking a Pump Assembly technician for the Power Drive Transmission POD 733. You will inspect pumps, remove bushings with a press, sand burrs, and bring gear clearance to spec using feeler gauges, then assemble and torque bolts to spec.

Work is Mon–Fri, 6:30am–3:00pm with overtime opportunities. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour plus experience-based increases, with a range of medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (8–10 hours).
• Experience using handheld tools such as straight edge, feeler gauge, impact, inline torque gun, hydraulic press or arbor press.
• Standing and walking typically required; occasional stooping or overhead reaching.

Responsibilities

Power Drive Transmission – POD 733 Pump Assembly

Job Overview: Pump assembly- Inspect pump for damage, remove bushing- utilizing a press, sand burrs if needed, bring gear clearance within spec by sanding and measuring with feeler gauges. Assemble pump and torque bolts to spec using torque tools. Pump assembly stations require an individual who is a decision-maker, has an eye for detail, can utilize various types of tools, machinery, and gauging equipment and must have good hand dexterity.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm Overtime available

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
• The ability to use handheld tools such as straight edge, feeler gauge, impact, inline torque gun, hydraulic press or arbor press, and slide hammer.

Salary and Benefits

Starting rate $20.00 + based on experience.
