Jasper Engines & Transmissions is seeking a hands-on associate to operate basic hand tools, disassemble units, and clean components for reassembly in a climate-controlled shop. The role requires standing most of the shift and lifting up to 50 lbs while following standard safety practices.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm, with opportunities for wage increases based on performance, and a full benefits package including PTO, holidays, quarterly bonus, 401(k) with company match,
There are a variety of tasks this position completes, including operation of basic hand tools and the detailed cleaning of parts using solvents, brushes, and scrapers. First, the associate must verify the tag of the BOM matches the unit (core) provided. Following this step, the associate will start the disassembly process by removing bolts, seals, etc. from the outside of the unit. Then will continue by removing the oil pan of the unit, uncovering the internal parts. Next is the removal of the valve body, pump(s), wiring harness, clutch packs, etc. Following this step, associates must clean parts using solvent, place parts in baskets, and send through a washer.
