Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Leavenworth, Indiana, is seeking a Crawford – JCC Disassembly associate to perform disassembly tasks with basic hand tools, remove components, and thoroughly clean parts for inspection.

You will lift up to 40 lbs, stand through your shift, and learn on the job. The role includes medical/dental/vision coverage, PTO after 30 days, holidays, quarterly wage reviews, and participation in our 401(k) with company match and Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

Qualifications

• Lift, bend, push and move materials up to 40 lbs.
• Stand or walk for the entire shift (8–10 hours).
• Use basic hand tools and air tools safely.
• Occasional overhead reaching and stooping.

Responsibilities

• Verify BOM tag matches the unit being disassembled.
• Disassemble by removing bolts, seals and oil pan.
• Remove valve body, pumps, wiring harness and clutch packs.
• Clean parts with solvent, place in baskets, and wash.
• Follow safety and quality guidelines during all steps.

Crawford – JCC Disassembly

Job Overview: There are a variety of tasks this position completes, including operation of basic hand tools and the detailed cleaning of parts using solvents, brushes, and scrapers. First, the associate must verify the tag of the BOM matches the unit (core) provided. Following this step, the associate will start the disassembly process by removing bolts, seals, etc. from the outside of the unit. Then will continue by removing the oil pan of the unit, uncovering the internal parts. Next is the removal of the valve body, pump(s), wiring harness, clutch packs, etc. Following this step, associates must clean parts using solvent, place parts in baskets, and send through a washer.

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 40lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
• The ability to use handheld tools such as basic hand tools and air tools
• Standing: Continuously

• Stooping (forward leaning): Occasionally.
• Reaching/Working Overhead: Occasionally.
