Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to oversee Point of Care testing across hospital and off-site sites. You will provide technical oversight for POC instrumentation and mentor staff, ensuring QA and regulatory compliance. Strong communication with Nursing and other Diagnostic areas is essential.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology (or related field) and MT/MLS certification, with about 3 years of lab experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Requires MT/MLS certification and a bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
Typically requires 3 years of laboratory experience.
Maintains current knowledge of technical aspects and statistics.

Responsibilities

Oversee Point of Care Testing across hospital and off-site locations.
Provide technical oversight for POC testing and instrumentation.
Coach and develop technical staff, addressing performance when needed.
Coordinate with Nursing and other Diagnostic areas; report QA data to site leadership.
Maintain QA programs and ensure regulatory compliance across sites.
